Off season Noah practice enables big improvements
As a sophomore, Jaclyn Bisordi was a starting guard on the Notre Dame — Belmont varsity basketball team. Because Notre Dame played in the toughest conference in the state of California, Jaclyn was facing extremely tough defense in every game. Although she led her team in points per game during her sophomore year, her shooting suffered from beyond the arc, hitting just 29 for 116 (25%).
Before Noah | After Noah |
25% 3-point | 39% 3-point |
29 for 116 | 47 for 120 |
33 assists | 75 assists |
After her sophomore season, Notre Dame hired a new varsity basketball coach, who had already won two California state championships while coaching at a prior school. Coach Paye knew the importance of Noah training, so he purchased a Noah for Notre Dame and required all of his varsity athletes to take 300 shots with Noah each week during the summer. Jaclyn was a highly motivated player and saw Noah training as a way to take her game to the next level. According to Jaclyn, “Noah was very easy to use. I could start the system in 1 minute, and frankly it was a lot more fun shooting all those shots when Noah was talking to me and automatically keeping track of my improvement.”
Jaclyn's off-season training paid dividends. During her junior season, her 3-point shooting rocketed to 39% as she hit 47 for 120. And because defenders needed to focus more attention on guarding Jaclyn, she was able to find open teammates resulting in double the number of assists. (33 sophomore year, 75 junior year)
This summer, Jaclyn will be training with Noah as she strives to further improve her shooting and her value to the team. Also, she plans to work with the younger Notre Dame players to make sure they know how much Noah can help their game.
