Noah Basketball adds Rep in Canada
Noah Basketball is excited to add Steve Ong to the Noah Team. Steve is our very first representative outside of the United States and will be conducting basketball clinics in and around Toronto, Canada! Steve is a computer science graduate and has been working in the Information Technology Sector in a variety of roles over the last 20 years, but don’t let this computer talk fool you. A die hard Toronto Raptors fan and a sucker for the March Madness Tournaments, Steve has been passionate about basketball since Kindergarten thanks to his older brother. Growing up in the Philippines, there was always a basket around the block made of any material you can think of. Combined with the many basketball goals around the house, ranging from the small triangular door hinge baskets to the mini-baskets in their covered patio and the full sized goal hanging from their terraced roof, Steve always had plenty of opportunities to play and let his love for the game grow.
Living in a house of traditional Chinese values, Steve’s parents wanted him to concentrate in school and focus on his studies. Basketball became his release valve from the pressure and hard work that came from succeeding in school. Growing up with Crispa Redmanizers of the Philippine pro league back in the 70s, the Dr. J-era Philadelphia 76ers, and the 1984-1985 Georgetown Hoyas, basketball captured his interest early and never let go.

Steve, at first, did not fully realize the value of the Noah Basketball Shooting Aids. He thought it was another gimmicky device and dismissed it. A year later, all the success stories began to gnaw at him. Stories, like the one about NBA star Dwayne Wade. It wasn’t until he fully understood the science of basketball shooting that he fully recognized how Noah can facilitate shooting improvement in players. Steve personally purchased a Noah system and has been using it for over a year, to train shooters in the Toronto area. After understanding Steve’s passion for helping shooters improve, combined with his knowledge and understanding of the Noah technology, we knew it was a perfect fit for Noah to invite Steve to be our first Canadian distributor.
Steve’s favorite thing about Noah? It made him into a better shooter. Steve is a firm believer that Noah should be part of every practice and incorporated in all basketball shooting drills. By developing a team with constant and accurate shooters you hold a better chance of keeping up with the teams that concentrate on size and speed but don’t emphasize the importance of shooting fundamentals. With a good defense and great shooters your team will be difficult to stop. Steve knows that Noah will help develop those great shooters needed to form that unstoppable team.
