Noah Attends ICBA Coaches Clinic!
We recently attended a coach’s clinic with the Iowa Basketball Coaches Association that had around 800 - 1000 coaches in attendance. The IBCA was extremely hospitable and their Executive Secretary, a gentleman named Don Logan, did a terrific job organizing the clinic. We can honestly say it was one of the best Coach Clinics we have ever been too. Our Sales Manager Rick Turk was lucky enough to hold a Noah Presentation for over 600 coaches, the same presentation we give for high schools around the United States.
Jim Schreffler, Our Noah Rep in the Minnesota and Iowa areas, also attended the ICBA and ran the Noah Basketball Booth at the Clinic. Jim has been coaching since 1964 and instantly saw the value of the Noah Basketball Shooting Aids the first time he was introduced to it, and added the Noah Select to his practices back in 2006. Jim had the honor of talking to hundreds of the finest coaches in the Iowa area during this clinic and was surprised by the great amount of good feedback he got back from them. Jim made the comment that he could the tell many of the coaches attending Rick’s presentation seemed very apprehensive at first but by the end of the presentation these coaches were sitting on the edge of their seats asking numerous questions ranging from, “Where do mount the Noah Instant?” to “Where in the gym is the best place to install it?” After Rick’s presentation the Noah booth received hundreds of visits from coaches wanting more information on how to improve basketball shooting with Noah.
“All the coaches loved the presentation,” said Jim, “It all went very well. The coaches were all very receptive and we had tons of coaches stop by. This was my first time having a booth at one of these clinics and I was very pleased with the process. My goal was to leave the clinic with around 5 coaches signed up for Noah Basketball Clinics. I left with close to 60 and that number is still growing as other coaches contact me. Needless to say, I am going to be very busy these next few months.”
Jim enjoyed talking to all the coaches at the clinic and went on and on about how impressed he was with the IBCA. Being a basketball shooting enthusiast he couldn’t stress enough just how much Noah can help. “It’s like having another coach on staff,” Jim said smiling, “We plan on getting a second Noah Instant this Fall at my school. Our goal is to end up with four Noah Instants, one for each basket plus the one portable Noah Select that we bought back in 06’. Noah adds so much value to our practices. Players can’t see their arc and Noah fixes this problem and the kids love it. I always encourage teams to invest in two because when we first got our system the senior players would always jump on it the moment they could. We had to setup a rotating system to ensure everyone got their chance to practice on it.”
To say the least, our Noah Reps had a wonderful time at the IBCA and hope to do more clinics like it in the future. We want to thank all the coaches who attended our presentation and of course a special thanks to our gracious hosts, the IBCA.
