The Aggressive Pivoting Shooting Drill with Noah Basketball
Basketball Shooting Drills
As mentioned in previous blogs, shooting drills are important to build the necessary muscle memory in players. These muscle movements can be relied upon in the heat of the game and can be the difference between a basket or a brick. Unfortunately not everyone understands that if you practice shooting with the wrong arc and depth, players will see little to no improvement in their shooting percentages.
We have posted several basketball shooting drills on our website. These drills incorporate the Noah Shooting System into every shot. They can work hand-in-hand with Noah Basketball Shooting Aids to build the necessary muscle memory to repeat the correct shooting arc and shot depth in practice and in a game. Also visit our past blog articles to learn more about how using Noah in your shooting drills can dramatically improve percentages. Below is an example of the shooting drills on our website.
Noah Basketball’s Aggressive Shooting Drills
The player sprints to the free throw line from the baseline. At about one hash up, the player flips the ball forward. The player catches the ball at the free throw line and pivots toward the basket to shoot. Rebound and repeat. Mix things up by replacing the forward pivot with a reverse pivot. Take a look at the drill’s diagram or the attached video. As you can see, incorporating Noah into the drill is a huge benefit. Players practice the movements of the drill while not losing focus of their shooting arc. Noah’s verbal instant feedback helps players maintain the correct shooting arc. Players build muscle memory through repetition and thus increase shooting percentages.
