The Guaranteed Scoring Zone
What is the Guaranteed Scoring Zone?
There is an area within a basketball hoop guaranteed to score when a player’s shot goes through it. We like to call this the Guaranteed Scoring Zone. The zone is split into two parts, the Swish Zone and the BRAD Zone (Back Rim and Down). The lower the arc, the smaller the guaranteed scoring zone becomes. The larger the arc becomes the larger the zone, but too large, and it becomes difficult for players to control their shot consistency. Shooting with a 45° arc allows the player to have a large scoring zone without forfeiting consistency. In the video above Noah CEO, John Carter, discusses the Guaranteed Scoring Zone during one of our Noah Basketball Shooting Clinics. Find out how players can make more shots by taking advantage of the Guaranteed Scoring Zone.
